Mr. Lefebvre, a Canadian native, has been involved with virtually every area of laboratory medicine for over 35 years. As Vice President of Business Development and Planning at Sakura Finetek, Mr. Lefebvre is closely associated with shaping up the future of the anatomical pathology laboratory and has 9 issued patents under his name. Mr. Lefebvre has been with Sakura Finetek since March 1995. From 1987 to 1995, at Bayer Diagnostics in Canada, Mr. Lefebvre was first Product Manager Hematology Systems, then Sales & Marketing Manager Reagent Systems and finally Director of Marketing for product portfolio including Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunodiagnostics, Hematology, Urine Analysis, LIS Services, and Specialty Research products. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Lefebvre was National Sales Manager at Bio-Mega Diagnostics, a manufacturer of Radioimmunoassay and Microbiology products based in Montréal. Mr. Lefebvre started his career at Technicon Canada from 1978 to 1985 where he occupied various positions including Field Service Engineer, Technical Specialist, and Sales Specialist. Mr. Lefebvre is currently a Director on the board of the Anatomical Pathology Patient Interest Association (APPIA), a non-profit membership organization focused on advancing patient safety, quality, standards, and accessibility of care in anatomic pathology.
Mr. Lefebvre graduated from the University of Québec in Montréal with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He also attended Business Management classes at York University in Toronto and Caltech in Pasadena.
